Role Purpose
As a Model Validation Specialist I, you will be responsible for independently assessing the methodological soundness, data quality, performance, and governance of the models used across the organization.
Your impact will be to ensure that models comply with technical, regulatory, and ethical standards, promoting informed decision-making and mitigating risks associated with the use of financial models.
Key Responsibilities
• Independent Technical Validation
Provide technical opinions on rating/scoring models, risk parameters, provisioning models, stress testing, and other regulatory or internal models through structured validation reports.
• Regulatory & Methodological Compliance
Ensure that independent validations are conducted in accordance with internal procedures and applicable regulations, evaluating models’ regulatory alignment.
• Performance & Robustness Assessment
Analyze data quality, stability, predictive capacity, and performance metrics of models, identifying methodological risks or improvement opportunities.
• Model Governance & Model Risk Management
Actively participate in model governance processes, lifecycle oversight, and Model Risk Management frameworks, contributing to transparency and decision traceability.
What We’re Looking For
A technical, structured, and analytical professional with strong modeling expertise and advanced data management skills.
Key Requirements:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Data Science, or related fields
✔ Experience with modeling methodologies (regression, decision trees, simulations, time series, dashboards)
✔ Experience in model performance evaluation
✔ Programming and data handling experience
✔ Knowledge of financial models
✔ Advanced Microsoft Office skills
✔ Proficiency in tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, or similar
✔ Strong understanding of the model lifecycle
✔ Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning
