Lead the legal strategy behind high-impact international real estate projects

At INHAUS, we are partnering with a leading international real estate investment and development group to identify a Legal Manager to oversee the legal affairs of its operations in Panama.

We are looking for a business-oriented legal professional with solid experience in corporate, civil and real estate law, who enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams and supporting complex investment and development projects in a dynamic international environment.

This is a strategic role with close interaction with both the local leadership team and the company's international legal department.

Your impact

As Legal Manager, you will provide comprehensive legal support across the business, ensuring legal compliance while helping drive commercial and operational decisions.

You will play a key role in contract negotiation, corporate governance, real estate transactions and regulatory matters, contributing to the successful execution of major investment and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to the Development, Finance, Sales and Operations teams.

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, corporate, real estate, construction and service agreements.

• Lead legal due diligence processes and support transactional closings.

• Manage corporate governance matters, regulatory compliance and corporate documentation.

• Coordinate with public authorities, notaries, the Public Registry and external legal advisors.

• Identify legal risks and develop practical, business-focused solutions.

• Manage external counsel and support dispute resolution when required.

• Assist in investment-related and real estate transactions.

• Improve legal processes, contract management and compliance practices.

• Contribute to the future development of the local legal function and team.

What we're looking for

• Law degree and admission to practice law in the Republic of Panama.

• 10–15 years of professional legal experience, ideally combining leading law firms and in-house corporate experience.

• Strong background in Corporate, Civil and Real Estate Law.

• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts and supporting construction or real estate development projects.

• Experience with financing, foreign investment or international corporate structures is considered an asset.

• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
