At INHAUS, we are supporting a leading international Investment and Real Estate Development Group in the search for an Immigration Legal Advisor to join its Legal team.
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with experience in Panamanian immigration law, who can provide comprehensive support and follow-up throughout the immigration processes of international investors, ensuring an organized, efficient and coordinated approach with internal teams and external advisors.
What will your main responsibilities be?
Manage and follow up on each investor’s immigration process, from the initial investment through to obtaining residency.
Maintain up-to-date records of each case, including its current stage, next steps, responsible parties and expected timelines.
Coordinate and follow up on cases handled by external law firms, identifying progress, potential delays and required actions.
Keep the Sales and Legal teams informed about the status and progress of immigration processes.
Review investment documentation to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and coordinate its issuance with the Legal and Finance teams.
Follow up on applications, documentation, legalizations and apostilles.
Monitor changes in Panamanian immigration legislation and practices, assessing their potential impact on processes, timelines and documentation requirements.
Prepare regular reports and contribute to the efficient management of a significant volume of cases.
What are we looking for?
Licensed lawyer qualified to practice in Panama – mandatory requirement.
3–6 years of experience in Panamanian immigration law.
Hands-on experience managing residency processes for investors, ideally under the Qualified Investor, Friendly Nations or similar programs.
Practical knowledge of procedures before MICI and the National Immigration Service (Servicio Nacional de Migración).
Experience managing documentation requirements, legalizations, apostilles and follow-up with government authorities.
Previous experience at specialized immigration law firms or within companies related to investment, real estate or relocation.
Fluent Spanish and English – mandatory requirement.
Experience with KYC and source-of-funds verification, as well as knowledge of real estate or hospitality, will be considered a plus. Portuguese or other additional languages are also valued.
We are looking for an organized, practical and persistent professional, with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with investors, agents, external advisors and internal teams.
