With a strong presence in Central America and the Caribbean, the company manages over 420 shipments per month, collaborates with 78 active clients, and ensures a seamless flow of communication with nine interactions per shipment.
About the role
Harbour International is looking to add a Customer Service Agent to its team, responsible for strengthening commercial relationships and ensuring efficiency in shipment coordination while providing exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Commercial Relationship Development
- Support customers with quotation requests.
- Coordinate quotations for both active and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to enhance client relationships.
- Maintain regular contact with clients via calls and emails to build long-term relationships.
- Conduct commercial visits to clients, both locally and internationally.
✔️ Shipment Coordination
- Send shipment instructions once the client has approved the rate.
- Collect the required documentation from all parties involved.
- Set up shipper and consignee profiles in the system.
- Coordinate with the operations department to ensure all information is complete and documents (FPOA and POA) are received.
- Maintain fluid communication with all parties throughout the shipment coordination process.
✔️ Communication & Reporting
- Manage calls and emails with shippers, consignees, and other stakeholders.
- Provide customers with regular updates on ongoing shipments.
- Send weekly reports with shipment status updates.
- Maintain communication with the sales team to share key information.
- Generate and send weekly reports for customers with shipments from the U.S. and other origins.
- Prepare monthly reports for the commercial team.
- Manage commercial route reports for Jamaica and Saint Lucia.
- Prepare shipping and commercial route reports for all clients.
What we’re looking for
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics and international trade.
- Strong skills in sales and customer service.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Fluent English (required).
- Own vehicle or transportation (preferred but not mandatory).
